Connect with Other Families

Families who have been impacted by trauma are often overwhelmed by the daily stress and chaos they experience and the lack of resources that can help them find real relief.

Camp Together’s family weekend is designed to decrease the stress families feel by equipping the whole family with practical skills focused on emotional regulation, connection, and communication.

CAMP INCLUDES

  • A Black therapist leads a circle of adults in discussion.

Caregiver training and coaching facilitated by trauma-informed experts to assist caregivers in meeting the needs of their families

  • Two young adults lead a group of children in a fun activity.

Child-based, interactive play activities focused on emotional regulation and coping skills

  • A diverse group of teens sit on the ground, in a circle talking.

Sibling groups designed to help them navigate their roles and experiences

Camp programming and training is led by experts in the field who helped design and implement TBRI camps at the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU. Together our team has over 30 years of experience supporting adoptive families and leading camp progamming!
